MEMBER OVERVIEW

BACKGROUND: 

Pashchimanchal Grameen Bikas Bank Limited (PasGBB) was registered in 1994 as a public limited company under the company act 1974. Currently, it is operating under the Bank and Financial Institutions Act 2006. As a micro finance bank, the bank has been established to alleviate the hardship and sufferings of the rural people within the Western region of Nepal.

The main objective of the bank is to poverty alleviation of the rural poor through credit delivery system of the western region of Nepal. The unique features of the bank are; Area approach, well defined target group, group guarantee landing approach, no physical collateral required, disbursement of loan at the center.

MISSION:

The mission of Pashchimanchal Grameen Bikas Bank Limited is to create income and generate self-employment through micro credit to the rural poor at their doorsteps to reduce poverty level.

VISION:

The vision of Pashchimanchal Grameen Bikas Bank Limited is " Be an excellent micro finance bank to uplift the socio-economic conditions of the rural poor ".

PRODUCTS / SERVICES

Loan Products:

1. Micro Business Loan
Micro Business Loan is the main credit products of bank which is disbursed to the borrowers for all types productive propose. The individual loan ceiling is upto NRs.60,000/- based on the borrowers loan cycle. Repayment period of this loan is weekly/ fortnightly/monthly basic.

2. Micro Enterprises Loan
Micro Enterprises Loan is for those clients who have completed first loan cycle of micro business loan and have enough entrepreneurial skills and knowledge to run projects like poultry,dairy, small workshops etc. The loan ceiling is upto Rs.1,50,000/- The durations of loan will be for a maximum period of  three years, depending on the  life and income of the project.

3.Renewal energy Loan
Renewal energy Loan is provided up to NRs.50,000/- for Biogas and solar energy for household purposes. Repayment period of this loan varies but does not exceed more than 2 years.

4. Foreign Employment Loan
Foreign Employment Loan is provided  to those borrowers who are from the poor family and wants to go for foreign employment. The loan ceiling is Nrs.100,000/- payable in two year including interest.


Saving Products:

1.Complusory saving where group members deposit 4 % of their loan in the time of loan disbursement and deposit weekly a fixed amount of Nrs.1

2.Personal savings where members deposit their saving voluntarily in their individual savings account, which is flexible  as members are allowed to deposit and to withdraw any amount as and when they need.

3.Child recurring education saving where members deposit voluntarily a fixed amount in every week or month on their educational saving account for seven years period.

4. Grameen upakar Bachat where member should deposit a fixed amount  every months and they can get double of the deposit amount in every ten years.
