This microfinance country profile results from the work undertaken by the Banking with the Poor Network (BWTP) Secretariat, under the leadership of Ana Santos, BWTP Network Coordinator and Microfinance program manager at the Foundation for Development Cooperation (FDC).
The Asia Resource Center for Microfinance, for the Bangladesh region, is an initiative funded by the Citigroup Foundation and FDC.
This profile is also the result of a close and productive collaboration between the BWTP Network and its in-country partners. The Secretariat would also like to thank all the participants of activities conducted in Bangladesh, for the contribution they have made to the Asia Resource Center for Microfinance through their papers, presentations and enlightening thoughts. It has been a crucial factor for the relevance of this document and the future development of the Asia Resource Center for Microfinance.
